TIP expands workshop network

TIP Group has announced the acquisition of a family-run workshop in Germany.

TIP has taken over Rudolf Sedlmeier GmbH which is known in the Munich area for its professional service for trucks, trailers, caravans and commercial vehicles of all kinds.

TIP and Sedlmeier have been working together for many years.

The location in the industrial park in Feldkirchen was a partner workshop of TIP and not only serviced and repaired rental vehicles, but also served customers with TIP service contracts.

“With the acquisition of Sedlmeier GmbH, we are pleased to be able to integrate another workshop location into our company in order to offer our customers even better service,” said TIP Central Region Managing Director, Oliver Bange.

“We welcome committed employees and are steering together towards a successful future.”

The new TIP workshop has 10 repair bays and carries out all the usual maintenance, repairs and inspections. Bodywork, brakes, tires, vehicle electronics – the experienced mechanics meet every challenge.

The 15,000-square-metre premises also include a car wash and a large spare parts warehouse as well as office buildings.

Together with the TIP locations in Unterschleißheim, Langenau, Neu-Ulm, Nuremberg and Stuttgart, the new branch in Feldkirchen forms a competence triangle for commercial vehicle service in the south of Germany, which is optimally geared to the requirements of transport and logistics companies.

“We are proud to become part of the TIP Group and are pleased that our customers can now also benefit from TIP’s extensive service portfolio,” Beate and Rudolf Sedlmeier said in a joint statement.

In other news, TIP Group will soon acquire 1,650 trailers in Denmark.
