Lecitrailer celebrates market leadership in Spain

Spain-based OEM, Lecitrailer, closed 2022 with a market share in Spain of 24.21 per cent with 3,498 registered vehicles.

Lecitrailer has led the Spanish market for 25 years.

This data is confirmed by Asfares, the Spanish Association of manufacturers of trailers, semi-trailers, tankers and similar vehicles.

Of the main families in the national market, Lecitrailer finished as the leading brand in curtainsiders and vans, with a 35.29 per cent share and 1,637 Elite curtainsiders registered and a 48.75 per cent share in vans. The share of reefers also stands out with 19.59 per cent of the market and 20.43 per cent in container carrier chassis.

It is estimated that 53 per cent of Lecitrailer’s production is destined for export.

In the nearest markets, Lecitrailer ended 2022 as the third brand in the French market with a market share of 11 per cent with 2,503 vehicles registered and a share of 13.02 per cent in Portugal, which has led it to occupy the second position in the ranking.

It has also consolidated its position as a benchmark manufacturer in other markets such as Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and the UK.

“The achievement of these results would not have been possible without the strong support of Lecitrailer’s suppliers, thanks to whom it has been possible to mitigate the excessive volatility and instability of the prices of raw materials and components, as well as the lack thereof, and minimise the impact on customers,” said Lecitrailer.

In 2022, Lecitrailer’s seventh aftersales base was opened in Mangualde, Portugal, to be closer to Portuguese customers. It has a surface area of 36,000 square metres and is equipped with the most advanced technology on the market, just like the other Lecitrailer aftersales service bases in Zaragoza, Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Valencia and Lyon.
