Wallenborn appoints COO

Wallenborn Transports

International logistics provider, Wallenborn Transports, has announced the appointment of Kevin Nash as Group Chief Operations Officer (COO) based at its Munsbach, Luxembourg, head office.

Nash joins Wallenborn from Kuehne + Nagel where he held senior positions in western Europe for 16 years, most recently as SVP Global Logistics based in Switzerland, and has an extensive supply chain experience notably gained working with Apple Computer, Cargolux and K + N.

His responsibilities within the Wallenborn leadership team will include operational excellence, process improvement, fleet optimisation, personnel development and digitisation.

Nash joined Wallenborn on 1 February 2023 and reports to Frantz Wallenborn, Group President & CEO who commented.

“Kevin’s knowledge and skills will be critical to delivering our ambitious growth and integration plans,” said Frantz Wallenborn.

“With over 35 years of experience in international business management, he has a strong and proven capability in all aspects of international logistics, strategic leadership and goal oriented end-to-end supply chain management across all competencies from manufacturing to aftermarket services.”

Last year, Wallenborn acquired a significant shareholding in Australia’s Skyroad Logistics as part of a major strategic investment.

In other news, Europe could be lacking up to two million drivers by 2026 which would impact half of all freight movements according to the International Road Transport Union (IRU).
