North American transport management company, Hub Group, has announced several leadership changes, effective 1 January 2023.
After serving as Hub Group’s CEO for 26 years, David Yeager will retire while continuing in the role of Executive Chairman.
In his new role, Yeager will work closely with the new CEO to facilitate a seamless leadership transition and continue to drive the next phase of the company’s growth.
Hub Group’s current President and Chief Operating Officer, Phillip Yeager, will succeed his father as the company’s new President and CEO.
Prior to joining Hub Group, Phillip Yeager served in financial roles at BMO Harris Bank and Lazard Freres & Co.
He joined Hub Group in 2011 and has held leadership roles in several of the company’s operations. From 1 January, 2023, he will join its Board of Directors.
Hub Group President and CEO, David Yeager, said his son is the right person to lead the company into the future.
“Over the last ten years Phil has been responsible for the development and execution of our strategy to deliver a world class customer experience, enhance our technology, and diversify our service offerings while improving our operational excellence, cost discipline and yield processes,” he said.
“Given his excellent track record and experience with all aspects of our business, I am confident Phil is the right person to lead Hub into the future.”
Yeager was honoured to be named the new, third CEO in the company’s 51-year history.
“I believe we are exceptionally well positioned to serve our customers, employees, and shareholders while we continue to grow our business to drive long term success,” he said.
