JOST GB celebrates career milestone

Equipment specialist, JOST GB, has congratulated Paul Clayton on his 40 years of service.

Clayton started his career as an apprentice with Robinson’s as a machinist and joined JOST GB in 1982.

“He began as a storeman where he started to familiarise himself with JOST products, before quickly moving into the busy vehicle workshop as a fitting technician,” JOST GB said in a statement.

“It was here that Paul’s love for the product and the industry began to flourish, and he showed a real flair for understanding the product in detail and communicating it to others.

“In the mid-1980, Paul took on the role of Quality / Warranty Engineering & Service. His attention to detail and tenacious attitude to solving problems held him in good stead for this role, but it also moved him closer to the customer where JOST would begin to realise the real value of Paul.

“This led him into the role of Sales Engineering and product support where ‘Rocky’ as he’s affectionately known in the industry, worked very closely with end operators & vehicle maintenance teams, delivering hundreds of product support training courses throughout the years and to this day.”

JOST GB Managing Director, Danny Broomfield, said he has had the pleasure of working with Clayton for the last 10 years.

“Everywhere we go in the industry he’s received with the utmost respect, and this is largely down to his endless knowledge about our products and the vehicles & customers they interface with,” said Broomfield. “He works tirelessly to the benefit of all around him and has a great sense of humour to go with it.”
