Yusen Logistics opens new centre in Germany

International logistics provider, Yusen Logistics, has opened a new contract logistics centre in southern Germany.

The new centre, based in Altbach, features a 10,000-square-metre warehouse and office space as part of Yusen Logistics’ global contract logistics network which consists of more than 355 warehouses.

The facility will provide the company with extra space and further opportunities for expansion with a considerably large storage area equipped with high racks, and its loading halls feature truck passages for side loading and unloading as well as ground-level access roads.

Yusen Logistics Regional Manager Contract Logistics South Germany, Ivan Spikic, said that by moving into the modern building complex the company will meet the needs of its customers from the local automotive industry.

“Yusen Logistics Germany has grown strongly in recent years,” he said.

“The network expansion by opening our contract logistics location in Altbach is important for us because it allows us to grow sustainably together with our customers.

“It is also necessary to meet the increasing demand in the region and to be closer to our customers.”
