Partnership promotes reefer telematics innovation

Transport refrigeration system supplier, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Transport Europe (MTTE), and idem telematics have enhanced digital monitoring technology to boost vehicle uptime and predictive maintenance.

At this year’s IAA Transportation, MTTE will present a new telematics portal based on idem telematics’ cargofleet 3 solution.

The portal integrates predictive monitoring and proactive service functions of the refrigeration system, and thanks to open interfaces, it harmonises with all vehicles, telematics hardware and software applications – such as transport management systems, rental company systems, freight wallets and ERP systems.

MTTE Managing Director Sales and After Sales, Björn Reckhorn, said transport logistics are unthinkable today without telematics.

“We are pleased to be working with idem telematics, because we share the same view of quality, safety and system openness,” he said.

“Together we tap into the efficiency gains of telematics for transport companies and at the same time protect their independence from individual providers.

“A significant issue for both companies is predictive analysis, so that the system always remains operational and is maintained at the perfect time.”

idem telematics Managing Director, Jens Zeller, said the company was looking forward to continuing its relationship with Mitsubishi.

“More and more of our transport customers are choosing Mitsubishi because they appreciate the reliability, performance and ultra-fast, precise response of the transport refrigeration systems,” he said.

“The interaction of our telematics with Mitsubishi refrigeration technology has proven itself for years; now we are looking forward to taking the cooperation to the next level together.”

In other news, BPW will be exhibiting at this year’s bauma event.
