Granalu commits to R&D

Spain-based OEM, Granalu, has launched new research and development projects.

Granalu’s goal is to offer quality, ergonomic, safer, cost-effective and sustainable products

The project involves collaboration with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE).

As a result, Granalu has improved its mobile floor which features a new chassis that allows users to optimise the position of its centre of gravity – allowing greater balance to the structure and enabling large payloads for low-density loads.

The new improvements can also be seen in its new range of bumpers which have been adapted to comply with new regulations.

The bumper, Granalu said, achieves great robustness and safety on the road, while its design has been prioritised over other materials – reducing tare and a gain in sustainability through the use of 100 per cent recyclable material.

In other news, US-based OEM, Wabash, has unveiled its first rebranded trailer.

Last year, Granalu claimed a 35 per cent market share in registrations of aluminium semi-trailers in Spain.
