Transfera grows Serbia operation

Serbia-based transport and logistics company, Transfera, is building new facilities in the Novi Banovci industrial zone near Belgrade.

The company completed the construction of its first set of logistics centres (TLC1). The first site covers an area of 30,000 square metres of which 3,000 square metres is zoned for office space and intended for administration activities. The remainder of the space comprises storage, recreation facilities and eateries.

The entire 53,000 square metres of terminal space, on which the TLC1 is built, will be fully operated by a Yard Management system (YMS) and Dock Management System (DMS).

“Despite unfortunate circumstances, such as the coronavirus pandemic and the crisis in the global construction material market, with maximum effort, we managed to complete the project in a very short time span,” said Transfera Manager of the TLC1 project, Vladimir Radovic.

“This project marks the completion of our goal to start a new chapter in our company’s business, in which we will raise the quality of the logistics services we provide to our current and new clients to the highest level.”

Transfera generated a revenue of 70 million euros in 2021. It currently has a team of 330 employees.
