Stoughton achieves QMS certification

US-based OEM, Stoughton Trailers, has achieved ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) certification for the production of painted intermodal chassis in the Evansville, Wis. facility.

ISO 9001:2015 is a globally recognised QMS developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The certification provides a model for companies of all types and sizes to use in building an effective quality management system.

The standard is based on several quality management principles, including having a strong customer focus, involvement of top management, an outlined process-based approach and continuous improvement.

“Stoughton chassis are manufactured to the highest quality standards,” said Stoughton Director of Quality, Caroline Pratesi.

“Our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification illustrates our ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction, quality assurance, and continual improvement.”

Bob Wahlin, Stoughton President and CEO, said: “This is a key step for our organisation in continuing the direction of making Stoughton number one in chassis production.

“We look to expand this focus to our chassis production lines in Stoughton and Waco.”

In other news, Stoughton expanded its chassis production.
