LCL service links China and US

Logistics firm, Dachser Mexico, now connects customers between China and the west coast of the US with a less than container load (LCL) service that reduces transit times by up to two days.

The cross-border ground transportation and customs clearance service is reported to include picking up customer cargo at the Port of Long Beach or the Port of Los Angeles and transporting it overland to Laredo, TX.

Once in Nuevo Laredo, MX’s border site, Dachser Mexico ensures that cargo shipments are moved quickly by ground transportation to be processed by customs at the Mexico City International Airport, the next day. After clearing customs, Dachser Mexico coordinates last mile delivery to the final shipment destination in Mexico at the customer’s request.

“Our customers wanted to take advantage of Dachser USA’s reliable and cost-effective LCL service from China to ports on the west coast of the United States, this cross-border land service allows companies in Asia and the United States to reach Mexico faster,” said Edgardo Hamon, Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics at Dachser Mexico.

Earlier this year, Dachser reflected on its 2020 successes.
