FUWA cuts carbon emissions with solar PV installation

China-based trailer axle manufacturer, Guangdong FUWA Heavy Industries, expects to save 40,000 tonnes in carbon dioxide emissions annually following the installation of an extensive solar PV system.

FUWA has installed solar PV systems in cooperation with China Southern Power Grid Company at its site in Taishan City, Guangdong Province, China.

The solar PV modules covers a roof area of approx. 480,000 square metres and generates 40 megawatts of electricity at peak output.

“We are investing in improving energy efficiency, making greater use of renewable energies and will increasingly produce green electricity ourselves,” FUWA said in a statement.

Last year, VALX, part of the FUWA Group, celebrated its 10th anniversary.
