Equipment specialist, SAF-Holland, has revised its Parts on Demand (PoD) spare parts program.
PoD now features all aftermarket brands and is reported to be easier to use.
“If a workshop needs a spare part from the SAF-Holland product range, staff can use the virtual Parts on Demand directory and the SH CONNECT app to easily identify and order the part online,” a SAF-Holland spokesperson said.
“They can use the QR code reader in the SH CONNECT app to scan the code on the affected component. Within a few seconds, this opens the online catalogue with the respective product description and all relevant details. If the user now logs on to the PoD system on their tablet or smartphone, they can order the spare part directly and securely.”
The online catalogue has also been updated. Users can configure parts of the user interface and customise the navigation experience on the platform to see more product information at a glance.
“With the new Parts on Demand program, we make ordering spare parts easier,” said SAF-Holland Director Product Management/Quality Aftermarket Europe, Markus Prößler. “Users can quickly find the individual components from all our brands and order them with little effort.”
The complete spare parts range of the SAUER QUALITY PARTS secondary brand will be integrated into the electronic PoD catalogue in the future.
“In addition to the typical wear parts for brake systems and air suspensions, the portfolio of the worldwide registered brand also includes air reservoirs, landing gear, lubricants and steel rims,” SAF-Holland said in a statement. “In the area of SAUER QUALITY PARTS, the online catalogue also offers the options of OEM cross-referencing. Simply enter the original OEM part number and the system will automatically guide the user to the corresponding part from the SAF-Holland secondary brand.”
The program will also see the introduction of V.Orlandi components. SAF-Holland acquired this Italian brand in 2018 which manufactures couplings, crossmembers and drawbar eyes for trailers and special purpose commercial vehicles.
PoD provides an overview of the SAF-Holland Group product range including axles and suspension systems, fifth wheels and accessories, kingpins, landing gears and ballraces. Special tools and ‘exploded’ view drawings with part designations and other numbers and identifiers are also integrated.
The virtual directory is available in 13 languages and is reported to be accessed by 3,000 users daily.
PoD contains SAF-Holland products from the past 25 years and is updated monthly.
