US OEM, CIE Manufacturing (CIEM), is investing in its people to provide superior service and support for its intermodal equipment customers.
Joe Hite, previously Director, Business Development-Dealers, will be taking on the role of Director, National Accounts. Since January 2019 Hite has been responsible for guiding and growing the CIEM dealer network ultimately resulting in a dedicated network of 16 dealers with 66 locations. He joined CIEM after 11 years with the American Trucking Associations, most recently as Vice President, Business Development. His extensive knowledge of both the intermodal and trucking industries will, according to CIEM, allow him to provide vital support to our national customer accounts.
Ben Evans has been hired for the position of Director, Business Development-Dealers. Evans comes to CIEM with significant sales experience in the transportation space. Focused primarily on technology solutions for the railroad ecosystem, Evans has also demonstrated a significant knowledge of intermodal operations. Before joining CIEM, Evans worked for a transportation technology provider in Raleigh, North Carolina where he engaged with customers to increase their operational efficiency and cultivated several key relationships with value-added resellers. His history of strategic customer engagement and support will ensure the continued growth of the CIEM dealer network into new territories.
John McKinnon joins CIEM as Regional Sales Manager. He has over 30 years of transportation sales experience including 15 years with the American Trucking Associations. Prior to coming to CIEM, McKinnon was in a strategic sales position with Eroad, an ELD provider with North American offices in Portland, OR. As Regional Sales Manager McKinnon will be on the front lines of supporting our dealer network relationships with product sales, training, and strategic oversight.

October last year, CIEM completed production of its first chassis series at its new North American chassis production plant.
