LAG Trailers renews tipping container chassis range

LAG's trailers get an overhaul.

Belgium OEM, LAG Trailers, has released a new 30′ tipping container chassis as well as other product updates.

LAG now supplies the chassis in both steel and aluminium.

The new design is reported to be about 400kg lighter with improved weight distribution.

Dutch haulier, InterLogistics, has modernised its fleet with a new LAG’s latest 30′ tipping container chassis.

“InterLogistics is always trying to lead the way in the market,” said InterLogistics CEO, Van Erp.

“The empty weight is 400kg lighter than a steel chassis, which means that 400kg more payload can be transported. The fact that LAG is a stone’s throw away from our headquarters in Born is a bonus.”

LAG has also overhauled its 40′ tipping container chassis and now fits both 30′ and 40′ chassis with galvanised tipping frames and a more maintenance-friendly tipping hinge.

Due to wider axles, the chassis has a much more stable driveability according to LAG. At the same time, the new type also offers more working space for the transporter to operate the containers and the accompanying equipment.

LAG said transporters switching to aluminium LAG tipping chassis is an easy transition as all parts are fully interchangeable with the steel chassis.

The 40′ tipping chassis is also modular in design and is compatible with tipping silo trailers.

“The construction method of the new chassis guarantees clear efficiency gains for both production and service of these vehicles,” said LAG Engineering Manager, Jacky Segers. “Companies that make use of LAG products across different ranges will benefit greatly from this evolution.”
