CEVA Logistics declares Force Majeure

Global supply chain business, CEVA Logistics, has actioned a 'Force Majeure' due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

This means that CEVA Logistics is temporarily relieved of its normal contractual obligations where these are rendered impossible or impracticable due to the coronavirus and its effects.

CEVA Logistics reserves the right to modify all or part of its services, having declared Force Majeure, to change its working procedures and any previously agreed rates and prices, to levy surcharges, or otherwise to take any measures necessary to adjust its business operations and its obligations to its customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

This announcement applies to all CEVA services including Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Ground Freight, Rail, Customs brokerage and Contract Logistics.

“Please rest assured that this step has only been taken due to the exceptional circumstances in which CEVA Logistics is currently operating,” CEVA Logistics said in a statement. “CEVA is continuously monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as and when these become available.”

This month, the business opened CEVA Logistics Russia in Moscow.
