Schmitz Cargobull Australia recently held a grand opening party at its head office in Noble Park North, Victoria.
“For Schmitz Cargobull Australia, 2019 has been a very busy and exciting year,” the trailer builder said in a statement.
This year marks a successful transition for the trailer manufacturer; the new facility is located at unit 2, Browns Road, Noble Park North, Victoria, 3174.
Schmitz Cargobull AG CEO, Andreas Schmitz, accompanied by Michael Temminghoff, Balint Kolnhofer and Cr. Maria Sampey on behalf of the Greater Dandenong Council participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony on 11 October.
The trailer builder is expecting a delivery of 30 S.KO refrigerated semi-trailers with a mix of 22- and 24-pallet capacity builds along with options of vertical double load bars and three-row recessed load securing rails.
Kolnhofer has been in Australia for around nine months and the direct feedback he has received has reinforced his excitement for the future of the local market.
“Having been with Schmitz Cargobull for many years I know we have great products – something our customers here have confirmed and with the after-sales service to support the products,” he said. “We are very confident [the industry] will appreciate the commitment we are making for a successful future.”
Earlier this year, the Schmitz Cargobull Australia production team visited Germany for hands-on training to bolster their knowledge and insight.
“As a Councillor and on behalf of the City of Greater Dandenong I am really proud to welcome Schmitz Cargobull to their new premises in Noble Park North which is actually in my Ward (known as Silverleaf),” said Cr. Sampey. “I would like to personally congratulate them on their move to bigger and better premises. Schmitz Cargobull has a long and strong history dating back to 1892 and we as a council are proud to play such a small part in the newest chapter of their story and we wish them all the very best for their future.”
