Wielton and Langendorf represent at Comtrans 2019

Trailer builders including Poland’s Wielton and Germany’s Langendorf are exhibiting at the Comtrans 2019 Trade Fair in Moscow this week.

Approximately 230 companies from the automotive industry, coming from 28 countries around the world, will have over 44,000 square metres of exhibition space at their disposal according to event organisers.

Russia is a strategic market for the Wielton Group and has been present in the region since 2000. It has commercial companies in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

“In 2012, Wielton commenced the assembly of trailers and bodies near Moscow,” said Wielton Group CEO, Mariusz Golec.

“Currently, we not only assemble our vehicles there, but we also carry out studies aimed at extending this activity to the full production cycle,” he said. “We believe that the Russian market will develop in a similar way to European markets. Therefore, in the coming years, we want to promote products similar in features to the products offered in Europe, including aluminium dumpers and light versions of curtain trailers. These products will be presented by our company during Comtrans 2019.”

The portfolio of solutions offered by Wielton in Russia takes into account the needs of local clients and the specificity of the local market.

“The Russian market is one of the main directions on which we have been operating and developing for almost twenty years,” said Włodzimierz Masłowki, Vice-President of the Board of Wielton for Eastern Markets of the Wielton Group.

“The Wielton brand is well known in Russia and perceived as a technological leader in the production of dumpers.

“In our offer we have products for the Russian market including dumper semi-trailers (konisch and squre types), which are unique in their segment. Our steel dumpers, dedicated to clients from the Eastern market, are made of Hardox sheets with increased abrasion resistance. Therefore, they have a very good relations of mass to strength.”

The Wielton Group’s products will be presented on stand 13-140 in hall 13. Wielton will present Curtain Master trailer and Weight Master aluminium dumper in HD version. Along with Wielton’s products, Flatliner (Langendorf brand) for the transport of precast concrete components will be on show.

The Side Curtain Master trailer (curtainsider) from Wielton was reportedly created on the basis of the modern hybrid welding technology, featuring solid and precise joints for the minimisation of the structure’s deformation. When finishing the chassis of the semi-trailer, a proven anti-corrosion protection technology – cataphoretic painting – was applied.

Weight Master (Wielton) is a lightweight dumper with an aluminium dump body with a capacity of 25-metres-cubed. The vehicle is designed for transportation of loose building materials and asphalt. It is also used in the transport of pallet loads and big bags. Despite the low own weight, the vehicle is characterised by high durability and reliability during transport. The applied solutions in the construction of the Weight Master trailer are an optimal alternative for heavier steel bodies. The novelty in the trailer is a QuickSilver insert inside the trough, which increases (several times) the abrasion resistance, while reducing the thickness of walls and increased resistance to sticking of material inside the trough. It is a universal product with a wide spectrum of configurations and possibilities to adapt to individual needs of clients. Low weight guarantees maximum load capacity, high efficiency and ergonomics during transport.

Flatliner is one of the flagship products offered by Langendorf for the construction industry. This vehicle is dedicated to transport precast concrete components and intended for use with two- and three-axle tractor units. An important advantage of the trailer is the possibility of loading and unloading without the need to use external equipment such as a crane of a forklift, because the product only transports loaded pallets. The use of the highest quality materials during the production of Flatliner guarantees high durability with simultaneous low own weight of the vehicle (limited to approx. 9500 kg). The product has additional security and reinforcements in order to ensure safety for both drivers and other road users. The product’s equipment can be adapted to the individual requirements and needs of clients.

The Comtrans Trade Fair started in 2011 and runs every second year, alternating with the IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hanover, Germany.
