Brake systems expert reinforces SAF-Holland leadership

Equipment specialist, SAF-Holland, has appointed Christoph Günter President EMEA effective 1 October 2019.

In this capacity, Günter will report directly to SAF-Holland CEO, Alexander Geis.

Günter started his professional career in 2004 at MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG in Sales and Marketing. Since 2007, he has been involved in various staff and operational management functions in the areas of sales, marketing and product development in the Knorr-Bremse Group – world market leader for brake systems and a leading provider of safety-critical ones Subsystems for rail and commercial vehicles – active.

Günter is currently Vice President Sales & Marketing EMEA responsible for Trailer, Specialist OE and Agricultural Vehicles at Knorr-Bremse.

Günter is a graduate industrial engineer. He studied industrial engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) with a focus on operations research, logistics, business management and computer science.

“Christoph Günter brings with him extensive management experience in the areas of sales and business development of braking systems for commercial vehicles as well as many years of intercultural management experience,” said Geis.

“With Christoph Günter as head of the EMEA management team, we are very well positioned to support the To systematically tap growth potential for truck and trailer components – especially in the Middle East and Africa.”

In other news, SAF-Holland recently launched its FW3510-TR fifth wheel – a cast steel coupling spec’d for imposed loads of up to 36 tonnes featuring a remotely operated locking system.
