Global supply chain business, CEVA Logistics, has been awarded a three-year contract to manage and deliver products to stores across the UK and Ireland for cosmetics company, LUSH.
As per the new agreement, CEVA will be responsible for moving the full range of items sold by LUSH, and will implement innovative, sustainable and value-added solutions.
Double deck trailers will reportedly be used for trunking, which will significantly reduce distance travelled and vehicles on roads. Additionally, the CEVA vehicle fleet is fitted with telematics, which will provide data and insight to influence driver behaviour and reduce fuel consumption.
CEVA's shared user network will also be utilised to perform last mile delivery to almost 80 stores and ensure full visibility of all products as they are moved.
LUSH's store managers will, according to CEVA, benefit from timely deliveries to their sites and decanting at night through unassisted deliveries to ensure minimal disruption to daytime activities. By using the CEVA Track app, LUSH will also receive up to date/real-time delivery information on individual orders.
“We are delighted to be working with LUSH Cosmetics as their official supply chain logistics provider,” said CEVA UK, Ireland and Nordics Managing Director, Eddie Aston.
“Our shared values mean LUSH will benefit from CEVA’s approach to minimising our combined impact on the environment through environmentally responsible logistics solutions.
“We will use our experience and expertise to deliver and add value to their supply chain operations and ensure a focus on continuous improvement,” he said.
LUSH Logistics Manager, Dan Payne, is delighted to be working with CEVA.
“CEVA really stood out during the tender process with their dedication and hard work to deliver precisely what we need across our distribution network,” he said.
LUSH is an ethically responsible cosmetics producer selling fresh, handmade, vegetarian cosmetics including hair care, skincare, bath bombs, shower gels, fragrances and other beauty products.
