SDC bolsters retailer’s expansion with boxvan trailers

UK based retail business, Sports Direct, has taken delivery of 19 new 13.6m GRP boxvan trailers from SDC in Toomebridge as part of the company’s ongoing expansion.

The €557,873 order was completed through rental and leasing firm, Hireco NI, who have a longstanding relationship with the retailer.

The two-axle GRP boxvan trailer have been built by SDC to meet the customers’ requirements, with the latest specification 1,500kg Dhollandia SKS retractable tail lift fitted for ease with unloading/loading onsite. The trailers are fitted with a roller shutter door for optimal loading on bays and an insulated roof to ensure products arrive safe and dry.

“We have made significant investments in improving our stores, enhancing our product offering and ensuring that we deliver what our customers need and want,” Sports Direct NI Head of Distribution, Sean McErlean. “Our latest fleet investment with SDC will allow us to enhance our distribution network across Ireland.”
