Tiger Trailers fulfils first fleet order for Ryder

US commercial fleet management company, Ryder, has taken is first delivery from UK-based OEM, Tiger Trailers – 15 curtain-siders for logistics provider, Woodland Group.

Tiger Trailer’s capability to produce a bespoke product against a short lead-time – with specification amendments midway through the build program – was reportedly key to Ryder placing the order.

“Tiger Trailers is now a major player in the fleet sector and able to produce a wide range of trailers, and, crucially, has proven they can deliver large orders fast,” said Ryder Area Sales Manager – London & South East, Paul Eve.

The 15 new 13.6m trailers are delivered to Ryder’s long-standing customer, Woodland Group, with all but seven units featuring Anteo tuck-away tail lifts. The trailer design meets Woodland’s stringent overall and side aperture height restrictions. All trailers are delivered in the global supply-chain management company’s own livery.

“Woodland’s specification requirements were exact and specialist but Tiger simply dealt with it with no fuss,” said Eve. “Importantly, we were able to deliver to Woodland in line with expectations. This flexible approach in a supplier relationship is very important to us.”

In September, H. Parkinson Haulage (HPH) praised Tiger Trailers’ “refreshing approach to customer service” after taking delivery of its first Tiger-built curtain-siders, with 23 tri-axle models joining its 150-strong trailer fleet.
