Hendrickson represents in Germany

US suspension specialist, Hendrickson, is displaying a mix of new and proven technologies that meet diverse commercial road transport requirements at the IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hanover.

The 'Engineered for Efficiency' suspension systems are tailored for truck, bus, and trailer applications for today’s global medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicle industry.

“The global transportation industry presents exciting prospects for truck, bus and trailer manufacturers who offer specialised suspension systems and components designed to meet the needs of their specific region,” said Hendrickson President and CEO, Gary Gerstenslager. “We continue to provide these solutions to OEMs around the globe as we look to expand our footprint, especially in Europe. Our recent purchase of a European component manufacturer exemplifies our commitment and capability to supply integrated suspension solutions to OEMs worldwide.”

Hendrickson will be presenting STEERTEK NXT, a system concept design integrating a durable and lightweight fabricated axle with the advanced combination of composite/steel spring technology. This combination saves weight without sacrificing durability compared to traditional I-beam axle and multi-leaf spring systems. The unique fabricated front steer axle design platform enables multiple axle configurations for vocational truck applications. STEERTEK NXT features a rigid axle beam for reliable strength combined with ease of maintenance.

Multiple capacities of the ULTIMAAX – advanced severe-duty rubber suspension models will be on display at the Hendrickson stand. This rubber suspension system reportedly balances outstanding durability, ride quality, mobility and stability. ULTIMAAX is proven globally and designed and recommended for severe-duty truck applications such as tippers, mining and refuse trucks.

Trailer severe-duty, air disc and drum brake, air suspension systems will be on display at the Hendrickson stand. Less downtime, reduced weight and superior driver comfort are all qualities of the HSDS family of top-mount and underslung suspensions. The unique features and components of the HSDS system help balance uncompromising durability with a lightweight design; this allows trailer fleets to carry more payload in weight-critical hauling situations.

Visitors to Hendrickson’s stand will also be able to see and discuss a wide range of suspension system springs and component technologies that meet or exceeds the specific needs of truck, bus and trailer manufacturers and operators worldwide:

• MLA3 Integrated Mid-lift Axle and Truck Air Suspension System – designed and manufactured for tractors and rigid trucks.
• COMFORT AIR Rear Axle Air Suspension System – delivering passenger and driver comfort for heavy-haul applications.
• LUXAIR Premium Drive Axle Bus Air Suspension System –  for transit and coach bus applications.
• AIRTEK Integrated Front Air Suspension and Steer Axle System for Transit Bus.

• TIREMAAX Trailer Tyre Pressure Control System – available on all Hendrickson trailer suspension systems.
• HTA Hendrickson Trailer Axle.
• Watson & Chalin TA250 Trailer Air Suspension.

Earlier this year, Hendrickson acquired the U-bolt, pin and screw business segment of the Austrian Frauenthal Group.
