JOST expands global network

Equipment specialist, JOST, has strengthened its global sales network by opening three new sites in 2018.

JOST opened new facilities in New Zealand, Turkey and Thailand. The Auckland, New Zealand, branch supplies fifth wheel couplings, landing gears, bearings and king pins. Under the management of Managing Director, Kate Bucknell, the product portfolio will be expanded to include all JOST products in future.

The JOST brand has been established in the New Zealand market for many years, and with JOST New Zealand Limited, there is now a local branch which can act immediately and is available at all times for customers and their growing requirements.

JOST was also able to expand its network in 2018 with JOST Otomotiv in Kemalpaşa / İzmír, in Turkey. JOST acquired Duban Makine, the supplier for container equipment which was founded in 1997 by Kasim Duban. From autumn 2018, container equipment and also fifth wheels will be produced at JOST Otomotiv. One of the main customers is Daimler Aksaray in Turkey.

This year also saw the founding of JOST Thailand. The new JOST site in Bang Sao Thong, near Bangkok, will be home to production and sales of fifth wheel couplings in Thailand. 

Lars Brorsen, Chairman of the Executive Board of JOST, is delighted with the network expansion: “By opening three new sites, JOST is resolutely pursuing its globalisation strategy and strengthening its presence in new countries which promises success for our company”.
