BPW Transpec acquires New Zealand–based business

Heavy-duty equipment supplier, BPW Transpec Australia, has acquired Commercial Transport Spares (CTS), expanding its footprint in the New Zealand market.

With the successful integration of CTS, BPW will be able to achieve its objective to better support transport operators in particular in the South Island of New Zealand and obtain a better picture of specific customer needs and support future product development projects.

The two business entities of BPW Global; BPW Transport Efficiency (BPWTE) as well as CTS will continue to operate independently in their own business fields.

BPW Transport Efficiency’s distribution structure via Auckland will be unchanged and BPWTE will continue to focus on direct sales activities to the trailer building industry, supporting fleet operators through the existing dealer network including CTS for the entire trailer original equipment product range currently represented by BPW Transport Efficiency.

CTS will continue providing the full parts portfolio to fleets and workshops and servicing the wider range of trucks, trailers and buses.

“After having enjoyed a strong and trustful business relationship for over 20 years, both parties are seeing great opportunities by now joining forces to better service transport operators in the New Zealand market,” BPW Transpec said in a statement. “The long-term commitment of James and Michael Swinburn in their new roles as Joint General Manager Sales and Operations respectively with designated responsibilities in the new company trading under the well established brand CTS, is a clear signal of business continuity to customers as well as suppliers.”
