Aramex and EG-Gate to strengthen Egyptian exports

Egyptian Global Gate (EG-Gate) has signed an agreement with Dubai-based logistics company, Aramex, supporting the growth of Egypt’s export community by facilitating the distribution of Egyptian products globally within the framework of the National E-Commerce Strategy.

The memorandum of understanding is set to enhance cooperation between both entities and enable Aramex to provide EG-Gate with offers in local and international supply services. Aramex will also provide a monthly training program from its headquarters. Aramex will also provide several training courses through EG-Gate focusing on a range of topics including packaging requirements for hand-made products, and the correct procedure for shipping products including assigning barcodes and accurately labelling the packages for the country of final destination.

The signed partnership allows Aramex to further support EG-Gate’s global reach by placing its marketing collateral on its shipments to different target markets. Aramex will also display EG-Gate’s marketing collateral in its offices across Egypt and advertise the company to its customer database.

“Our partnership with Aramex is the latest in a long line of agreements and strategic partnerships that we are establishing to ensure that an integrated e-commerce system is in place for Egyptian products and exports,” said EG-Gate CEO and Managing Director, Dr Menass Ibrahim.

“As EG-Gate continues to develop into the world’s gateway into Egypt, a seamless system will be crucial as we look to deliver Egyptian products efficiently to global markets, while achieving the necessary publicity and proliferation for Egyptian exporters,” he said.

“The Egyptian market remains at the forefront of our commitment to the region and delivering Egyptian products to end-users around the world in an efficient and streamlined manner remains a key priority for us at Aramex,” said Aramex CEO – Africa, Samer Gharaibeh. He added that the services that Aramex offers to electronic platforms and retailers is not only limited to express shipping. “We are excited to be supporting our clients with a range of services that include providing storage spaces for exporters, packaging services and customs clearance. We also support exporters by providing cash collection services on product delivery, transfer of funds to Egypt using state-of-the-art solutions, as well as training courses for beginners and small exporters focusing on cross-border e-commerce and the principles of international express shipping.”
