Global equipment specialist, SAF-Holland, invites industry to use its free mobile app, SH Connect, when booking training courses at its Academy.
SAF-Holland has offered international training courses to service partners, spare parts retailers and vehicle manufacturers for around 20 years.
In 2015, SAF-Holland bundled these service offerings via its Academy in Aschaffenburg, Northern Bavaria, educating participants on Cam-aligner wheel alignment and a variety of other products on a three-axle chassis ‘training trailer’.
According to SAF-Holland Service Manager Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, Roman Seitz, these courses impart theoretical knowledge, for example, on warranty handling and complaints, but also practical knowledge for maintenance and repair work. “This allows us to ensure that service partners and parts retailers have the best possible knowledge of our products and can service and repair axles, fifth wheels and other components correctly.”
The service course reportedly acquaints service partners with all suspension systems, axles, fifth wheels and the Integral technology and trains them in various workshops. In addition to this, the specialist for commercial vehicles offers practical training courses for use and maintenance of brake systems. Courses for parts retailers teach participants about the nameplates and how to use the Parts on Demand (PoD) online catalogue.
SAF-Holland said in a statement that SH Connect app users can access technical data, videos and workshop manuals. Users can scan the QR code on the nameplates of all SAF-Holland axles, fifth wheels and landing gear to directly access the spare parts list. The app is available for Android and iOS devices.
