Howard Tenens invests in Lawrence David LSTs

Third-party logistics provider, Howard Tenens, has taken delivery of six longer semi-trailers (LSTs) from UK-based trailer builder, Lawrence David.

The LSTs are pillarless curtain-siders that join a fleet of around 400 assets and will be used for trunking and transport freight tasks.

The Howard Tenens colour scheme has been applied to the front bulkhead along with EN 12642-XL-rated curtains, which reportedly surpass European load securing standards.

The LSTs also feature a galvanised steel full width top damage protector and a self-steer axle improve operator manoeuvrability. Additional features include the JBX 80 toolbox which can hold loads of up to 75kg, a pull-out ladder with top platform and soft docking sensors that automatically activate the brakes when the vehicle is too close to a loading bay.

“We have a good relationship with LD, the build quality and product is of a high standard and they understand the operation and specification requirements,” said Howard Tenens National Fleet and Compliance Manager, Richard Philpotts. “These additional LSTs will provide extra capacity and demonstrate our commitment to protecting the environment by continuing to reduce our CO2 emissions.”
