German trailer builder, Schmitz Cargobull, has appointed a new Managing Director for its telematics subsidiary, following the development of digital start-up, KUBIKx.
Marco Reichwein will take over as Managing Director of Schmitz Cargobull Telematics, effective January 2018.
“After his studies in business administration, Marco Reichwein worked as a sales and marketing director and managing director at various companies in the automotive industry,” Schmitz Cargobull has said in a statement.
“Over the course of his career, he held the position of Chairman of the Board of Management for Volvo Financial Services. In this role, he was responsible for the Service Centre South (France Spain and Italy) with its headquarters in Brussels.
“Most recently, in his position as Chief Executive Officer, he was responsible for managing EURO-Leasing GmbH in Sittensen.”

Karl-Heinz Neu, the previous Managing Director of Schmitz Cargobull Telematics, will reportedly become the new Managing Director of KUBIKx on 1 January 2018. This subsidiary will establish the new ‘Digital Business’ field and work to shape the digital transformation in the logistics and transport industry.
