Australian trailers to reach Brazil

Australian trailer manufacturer, Kennedy Trailers, has appointed Brazil-based Pastre to manufacture and distribute Kennedy trailers to the South American market.

“After many years of discussions and planning, Kennedy Trailers is finally starting to make some head way into the global market with its iconic folding log trailers,” the company said.

According to Kennedy Trailers, Olle Melon, from Brazilian Exte manufacturer, Emex, helped Kennedy in the search for a suitable manufacturer in South America.

Kennedy said the folding log trailers provide Brazilian haulage contractors with savings in road taxes as the Brazilian government taxes trucks on how many axles are on the road.

As Brazilian import tariffs and tax laws restricted Kennedy from the manufacture and export trailers from Australian shores, Pastre will use the Kennedy Trailers designs to build and distribute Kennedy Trailers using the same manufacturing techniques used by Kennedy Trailers in Australia

According to Kennedy, this will ensure the same lightweight quality trailers for the Brazilian operators as seen in Australia.

“We would like to thank some of our valued customers who took the time out of their work day to show the Brazilians a little bit of how their logging operations work here in Australia and see some Kennedy Trailers in action. Cheers, greatly appreciated,” Kennedy said.
