Italian fleet expands with 200 Kögel trailers

Italian logistics service provider, Lannutti, is expanding its existing fleet with 200 new Kögel Lightplus trailers.

The new trailers join a fleet of 1,250 trucks and of 2,500 trailers based in Cuneo, Northern Italy.

According to Kögel, the Lightplus trailers are light weight, and therefore enable fewer journeys for the specified annual tonnage and improve Lannutti's ecological footprint.

According to Kögel, Lannutti chose to expand its fleet with the German trailer builder's product due to the high stability level of the Kögel Lightplus, as well as the ability to further reduce the already low tare weight of 5,145kg.

To do so, Lannutti opted for aluminium wheel rims, landing gear, air tanks and roof support frames, while the portal doors are made of extremely light yet strong duroplastic sandwich panels with a honeycomb core.
