Temperature-controlled logistics company, Dale Brothers UK, has reportedly received six new Schmitz Cargobull reefers, which are equipped with the manufacturer’s custom trailer telematics system.
The new arrivals will use a unified system to monitor each refrigeration unit and trailer, offering greater transparency and control when transporting chilled and frozen payloads.
The two multi-temp and four mono-temp trailers replace older assets in the Telford-based operator’s 100-strong fleet, nearly half of which are from Schmitz Cargobull, and according to the manufacturer, will carry meat to supermarket chains in the UK and Germany.
“Schmitz Cargobull’s refrigeration and telematics package gives us complete control and our customers confidence, and there’s nothing else like it on the market,” said Dale Brothers UK Director, Neyland Dale. “The system means we can monitor the condition of the trailer’s components at the click of a button, and make sure we are one step ahead of any repair work, which is vital as we cannot afford to have them off the road for a long time.
