UK transporter turns to Faktor 5 module

UK heavy transport specialist, Allelys Group, has shared the details for two extreme heavy-duty transport tasks in the UK using its Faktor 5 module from German heavy equipment specialist, Goldhofer.

The first job transported a 212 tonne transformer from Stafford to Ellesmere Port in northwest England using a Goldhofer 2×12-axle THP/ST type heavy-duty combination with Faktor 5.

The over 100km route passed several limited height bridges, requiring the girder frame to be used in the vessel bridge mode for extra clearance, as well as using the hydraulics on the Faktor 5 to raise and lower by up to 900mm.

The second journey transported a 300 tonne cable drum a distance of 60km from Brunton Shaw to Goole in northeast England.

Renato Ramella, Director Sales Europe and North Africa at Goldhofer, was pleased and proud to see examples of effective cooperation involving Allelys’ know-how and Goldhofer’s transport solutions.

“For years, Allelys has been an extremely important customer in the UK. We are delighted that our Faktor 5 has given them a real competitive advantage in terms of additional flexibility with ultra-heavy cargoes,” Ramella said.

At the same time, we also benefit from the regular feedback we receive from Allelys. That helps us make continual progress in our commitment to product optimization to meet our partners’ needs.”
