Cartwright wins major order from Culina Group

UK trailer builder Cartwright has won a major order of curtain-siders from the Culina Group for the company’s Culina Logistics and Great Bear brands.

According to Cartwright 4.7m and 4.2m curtain-sider semi-trailers are all EN12642XL rated, each with a DVSA compliant strapping system (CV Rollers) and Haldex soft docking system.

The investment comes as the Group announces its growth plans going into 2017, now that the acquisition of the ambient logistics arm, Great Bear, is integrated into the Group.

“The acquisition of Great Bear Distribution has bedded in superbly well, and we have now completely transferred over all our ambient logistics responsibilities,” said Culina Logistics CEO, Steve Winwood.

“This year we are establishing the footprint for the further evolution of Culina Logistics as the specialist chilled logistics arm of the Culina Group, and 2017 is already promising to be our most exciting year yet.”

Mark Matkin, Culina’s Group Fleet Manager added “Our fleet is at the frontline of our operation and is a representation of our business. The purchase of these new trailers shows our commitment to the continued investment in the Culina Group Fleet.”
