Belgian trailer manufacturer Faymonville has reached an agreement to acquire 100 per cent of the shares of Italian self-propelled modular transport (SPMT) specialist, Industrie Cometto.
According to Faymonville, the acquisition will bring the Cometto product under the Faymonville Group, expanding the Belgian company into a new product segment.
Faymonville will combine its knowledge in production processes with Cometto’s existing know-how in the self-propelled modular segment, able to now offer transport equipment to its customers to handle cargoes from 15 to 15,000 tonnes.
“The result will be a higher production capacity together with an improved quality. This acquisition will significantly increase our market position,” said Alain Faymonville, President of the Faymonville Group.
