German trailer builder Kögel has moved its spare parts warehouse, Parts Sales, Pricing and Parts Dispatch divisions from the site in Neu-Ulm, Bavaria, to Ulm in Baden-Württemberg.
The new site provides modern office space for Kögel staff, over 5,000m2 of shelf space for spares and an additional 1,000m2 of block storage. Large and bulky parts are placed onto specially manufactured cantilever racks to ensure that more than 8,500 types of spares, items and commodities can be properly and correctly stored.
German logistics provider Noerpel will operate the new logistics centre, and the new “Kögel Parts” spares shop is directly next door.
“The old site simply became too small. It often took a long time for lorries to be completely loaded, leading to long waiting times for their drivers. This is fortunately a thing of the past,” said Anton Bigelmaier, Head of After Market at Kögel.
