TIP Trailer Services has announced the acquisition of Dutch rental and leasing company, Twan Heetkamp Trailers (THT), which has a fleet of around 3,000 trailers operating across Europe.
According to a report by Dutch news service, Transport Online, the move strengthens TIP Services’ position in the trailer market.
“To strengthen our position in the field of trailer solutions we are looking for strategic partners that offer added value in both knowledge and equipment,” Rogier Laan, General Manager of TIP Trailer Services, Benelux Region told Transport Online.
Twan Heetkamp, Director of THT, said the deal sets up a bright future for both businesses. “Under the umbrella of a partner such as TIP, we can provide more content in the coming years to our ambitions and it also allows us to carry out the international knowledge and expertise of TIP at national level.”
The announcement comes as TIP continues its run of key acquisitions worldwide. In August, the company confirmed the double acquisition of Welsh companies Aim Hire and PADS Trailers, as well as Canadian rental leasing and storage business, Train Trailer.
