Jost reinforces technological edge at IAA Show

Transport equipment specialist, Jost, used last month’s IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Germany to align its recently acquired Mercedes-Benz Trailer Axle business with the long-standing Jost brand.

“We have now taken over production and sales of all original spare parts,” explained Norbert Rehbein, General Manager of Jost Achsen Systeme, as the company’s axle business is now called. “Spare parts are no longer exclusively available via the Mercedes-Benz network. Jost now sells all spare parts for new pre-2015 Mercedes-Benz axles through our own global and spare parts sales network.”

In line with the move, all axles now come Jost-branded, Rehbein added, with a small “engineered by Mercedes-Benz” by-line making the integration of the high-end product into the Jost portfolio complete.

A new, electric landing leg dubbed Modul E-Drive also joined the Jost product line-up at Europe’s largest transport expo, with Jost saying automation would continue to play an important role for the company’s strategic development going forward.

A public demonstration of the new, automatic KKS Comfort Coupling System underscored that aspiration.
