Utility Trailer reveals two new trailer models

US OEM Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company has introduced two new trailer models, a 4000AE flatbed and a 4000D-X Composite TBR (Tall Bottom Rail) dry van.

The 4000AE flatbed replaces steel cross members with a new design that uses 3” and 4” aluminium cross members – contributing to an overall 536lb (243kg) weight reduction while adding a standard 47,000lb (21.3 tonne) coil haul package.

“Our new 4000AE flatbed delivers the strength and long-term benefits of a durable combo trailer. The 4000AE approaches the weight of an all-aluminium trailer yet is available at a combo trailer price,” said Larry Roland, Director of Marketing for Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co.

For added stability, three tube-shaped outriggers are located on each side of the 4000AE and are connected to the aluminium cross members – aiding in even load distribution to the steel main beams.

The new 4000D-X Composite TBR (Tall Bottom Rail) dry van has been engineered for increased strength and durability, with a 10″ taller aluminium one-piece bottom rail that is 50 per cent thicker at floor level and a 20,000lb (nine tonne) floor rating.

“Our 4000D-X Composite TBR is a new configuration engineered to deliver long-term performance for unique hauls,” said Roland.

“We’ve taken our proven 4000D-X Composite and loaded it with features that provide even more strength and durability.

“The new option weighs less than the competition, yet still offers a 65,000 lb GVWR with increased payload and decreased maintenance, which means an improved bottom line.”
