Schmitz Cargobull has developed a smart rear camera system that is able to transmit images via WiFi to a mobile device when loading and unloading or when the trailer is backed up to a loading platform.
According to the best-selling German OEM, the system was designed with the bulk transport industry in mind and consists of a reversing camera for the approach area and a second camera monitoring the contents of the body.
The image can be viewed via Schmitz Cargobull’s own S.KI Control app.
To ensure the longevity of the technology, Schmitz Cargobull said the complete hardware is installed on the trailer and is immediately ready for use after truck and trailer have been connected via WiFi.
