Dutch carrier invests in Kögel trailers

Dutch transport company CLdN Cargo BV has added 100 new Kögel Cargo Rails to its vehicle fleet of over 800 trailers.

According to Kögel, CLdN Cargo chose the OEM's Cargo Rail trailers for their flexible design, including reinforced frame, gripper jaw tarpaulin and special axles allowing the Dutch transporter to use the equipment on roads, ferry and rail transport routes.

“Like all Kögel vehicles, the entire vehicle frame is protected against long-term corrosion by cathodic dip-paint nano-ceramic coating technology and subsequent painting,” Kögel said in a statement.

The CLdN equipment reportedly boasts double screw-fastened, reinforced semi-trailer supports in a ferry design with rollers and an underride guard, shortened to 2,340 millimetres, with skids for ro ro transport.

The VarioFix perforated steel external frame is equipped with 13 pairs of lashing rings with 4,000 kilograms of tensile force per ring, 16 pairs of lashing straps are securely pre-installed on the external frame.

Interior protection includes a 12mm-thick and 2,500mm-high textured coated board, while the rear of the vehicles is equipped with reinforced steel rubber bumpers and an eight mm-thick lateral steel bracket across the entire width.
