Toll expands to Cyprus

Toll Global Forwarding (TGF), a division of Toll Group, has opened a new office in Cyprus as part of a strategy to expand its global footprint.

According to Toll, the establishment of a Cyprus office, through an agreement signed local business, Laktarget Freight Limited, was prompted by recent developments in the energy industry in Cyprus and the wider Eastern Mediterranean region.

“Having gone through a rigorous due diligence process, we are delighted to announce the partnership with Lavar Shipping for the establishment of a Toll office in Cyprus,” said Jeff Khoury, Vice President of Global Franchises for TGF. “The country has found itself at the heart of some very encouraging regional developments in the offshore oil and gas sector, and our aim is to provide high-quality forwarding solutions to meet regional demand and help move these exciting projects forward.”

Reginos Tsanos, CEO of Lavar Shipping and Chairman of the RPT Group and parent company of Laktarget Freight added, “Toll’s presence in Cyprus will raise the bar in the provision of forwarding services. This franchise agreement represents yet another step towards realising our vision of Cyprus as a shipping and energy hub, facilitating business connections across the Eastern Mediterranean region.”

Offering a comprehensive network of international freight forwarding, and advanced supply chain management services, the local Toll franchise will also introduce the Sea-Air service, a hybrid multimodal transport system via Dubai that halves ocean freight transit times.
