Kässbohrer with new lightweight curtain-sider model

In the lead-up to the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in September, German OEM Kässbohrer has unveiled a new curtain-sider model that is expected to achieve a one-tonne payload advantage over a standard unit.

Part of the Maxima range, the new SCL X+ model can boast a tare weight of 5,600kg and is said to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions by providing additional efficiency.

Certified according to EN 12642 and VDI 2700, K.SCL X+ is offered with Code XL, Daimler 9.5 Automotive, Beverage Transportation and Octabin Transportation Certification.

In line with the new product release, Kässbohrer also launched a new all-inclusive repair and maintenance package. Dubbed K-Advance Care, it covers periodical maintenance work, the replacement of worn parts, as well as tyre management, roadside assistance and relevant labour.

“With K-Advance Care, Kässbohrer guarantees an uninterrupted performance for its operators, with the advantage of fixed and adjustable-to-needs costs, in 16 countries across Europe, at over 6,000 service locations,” the company commented.

The service reportedly also includes a Europe-wide 24/7 roadside assistance service.
