DHL Express was named Asia’s Best Express Operator for the 27th time at the 2016 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards (AFLAS) held in Shanghai.
The award comes as DHL Express continues to invest significantly throughout the Asia Pacific region, introducing extensive infrastructure upgrades and process innovations, according to Ken Lee, CEO of DHL Express Asia Pacific.
He commented, “Being named once again as the Best Express Operator … suggests that customers are seeing the tangible benefits as we continue to scale up our Asia Pacific network, including the addition of new gateways in Melbourne and Tokyo to meet rising demand; and having the most number of TAPA certified sites for freight security in the region.
“This award will only spur our team to continue elevating its already world-class customer service standards to the next level.”
Wu Dong Ming, CEO of DHL Express China, said, “This win affirms our commitment to deliver excellence to our customers as we celebrate our 30th anniversary in China this year. As the Best Express Operator, we can only further raise the bar on our service capabilities – ensuring that customers' shipments are delivered in a timely manner.”
The AFLAS Awards are said to be the only Asian logistics awards to be decided by customer votes alone, earning them a reputation as a bellwether for customer sentiment in the logistics industry.
