Girteka Logistics orders 540 Schmitz Cargobull trailers

European transport company Girteka Logistics has placed an order for 410 refrigerated semi-trailers and 130 curtain-siders from German OEM Schmitz Cargobull.

Girteka Logistics' fleet currently consists of more than 2,900 trucks and over 3,100 trailers in use across the whole of Europe, with more than 75 per cent of trailers from Schmitz Cargobull, according to the trailer builder.

“Our aim is to provide our European clients with the best possible service, and above average KPI’s. To do this we need the best equipment in the industry, this is why we year after year choose Schmitz Cargobull,” said Mindaugas Raila, Chairman of Girteka Logistics.

According to Schmitz Cargbull, Girteka Logistics equipment is regularly serviced and repaired to maintain high standards.

“In this area, Girteka Logistics can really benefit from our Europe-wide service network. Our 24-hour replacement part service and Europe-wide emergency breakdown service ensure reliability in the event of an incident,” said Andreas Schmitz, Chairman of Schmitz Cargobull AG.

Girteka Logistics has been using trailers provided by Schmitz Cargobull in its fleet for more than 16 years.

“Our long-standing relationship is down to our commitment to developing user-friendly specifications for our vehicles,” said Boris Billich, Sales Director at Schmitz Cargobull.

“The modular Schmitz Cargobull vehicle and service range enables customers to create their own tailored transport solutions, just as Girteka Logistics has done.”

Raila added, “Girteka Logistics and Schmitz Cargobull both have very high standards when it comes to reliability, vehicle quality and value retention of vehicles. These factors are essential to us maintaining our status as a customer oriented, Europe-wide transport and logistics company.”

Schmitz Cargobull reported Mindaugas Raila is satisfied with the curtain-sider semi-trailers construction.

“We were particularly impressed with the GENIOS’ cold-rolled construction method, and the many security features that make the driver’s job easier. Having galvanised parts is also an important factor in the sustainability and value retention of the vehicle,” said Raila.
