İffet Türken elected ESTA Vice President

Kässbohrer’s Board Member for Business Development, İffet Türken, has been elected as the Transport Vice President of the European Association of Abnormal Road Transport and Mobile Cranes (ESTA).

Founded in 1976, ESTA is focused on improving equipment to create a safer working environment, as well as harmonising equipment travel rules and reducing permit delays throughout Europe.

Commenting on her new role Türken said, “I’m very pleased with the General Assembly’s decision on electing me as the Transport Vice President, a decision which helps increasing the visibility of women in the transportation industry.

“Our agenda is quite challenging. We are working to promote safety, quality and professionalism throughout the European heavy transport industry, where there are still inconsistencies within.”

She added, “It’s important for us to harmonise working practices and operational regulations to create an environment, allowing cross-border heavy transport projects.”
