Utility reaches major production milestone

Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, one of the largest US-based trailer manufacturers, has announced that it has produced its 75,000th dry van from its plant in Glade Spring, Virginia.

The milestone trailer, a 4000D-X Composite dry van, was delivered to transport and logistics company, Pottle’s Transportation, based in Bangor, Maine.

Utility hosted a celebration at the Glade Spring plant to mark the 75,000th landmark, which was well attended by city and state officials including the Washington County Board of Supervisors, the Mayor of Glade Spring, and a member of the Virginia House of Delegates.

“We were honoured to have the leadership of our community attend this special event,” said Sam Cassell, Utility’s Glade Spring, Virginia Plant Manager.

“We are also pleased to have Barry Pottle and his family with us to receive the 75,000th trailer. Pottle’s Transportation has been a long-standing customer of Utility and we appreciate their commitment.”
