BPW continues one-stop-shop journey at Bauma

German company BPW has announced it will use the upcoming Bauma trade show in Munich to promote itself as a full-service supplier to the transport industry.

The company, which rose to fame as an axle and suspension specialist, said it will showcase products ranging from chassis systems, lighting system, plastic components and locking systems through to bodywork and telematics technology.

Carlo Lazzarini, Member of the Executive Board, Sales Trailer Equipment & Solutions at BPW, explained: “Seeking to realise our claim of supporting the vehicle operator as an international mobility partner and the vehicle manufacturer as a system partner, we have extended our already extensive range of services.

“Ranging from application consulting; training; brake, tipping stability and circular driving calculation; to bespoke logistics concepts and maintenance agreements, we seek to provide our customers with individualised support in the completion of their operations.”

According to Lazzarini, BPW itself will present a new generation of its ECO Cargo VB model in Munich, which is said to feature optimised bearings for the connecting rods as well as durable, low-wear spring slides.

BPW will also present a new ‘H’ model to complement the existing VB range. “Having proven themselves in heavy-duty operations with an axle load of between 16 and 18 tonnes, these chassis have now been optimised with the perfect location of the wheel hub bearing for ease of maintenance.

“A capsule screwed shut from outside with a seal ring makes the bearing easier to maintain and better protected against outside influences.”

Meanwhile, BPW subsidiary, Idem Telematics, will be displaying its new modular telematics solution, Cargofleet Trailer Gateway, for the first time. The new, modular telematics system is meant to minimise the initial outlay and enable the customer to match their telematics system to their individual needs.

The BPW stand will also promote products by subsidiaries Ermax, HBN-Teknik and Hestal.
