Yorkshire-based trailer builder Montracon has confirmed the appointment of Paul Avery as its new Managing Director.
Avery joined Montracon from Schmitz Cargobull UK, after 24 years with the company and nearly 30 years in the commercial vehicle manufacturing.
According to Montracon, Avery rose through the ranks at Schmitz Cargobull UK from Design Engineer through engineering, research and development to General Manager and then Managing Director.
In particular, Avery led Schmitz Cargobull’s successful development into new ‘high volume’ sectors to provide a broad product offering. He also led the development of a full range of “one stop shop” services for customers, Montracon said in a statement.
“I join Montracon, at a time when the business has a very healthy order book in what remains a buoyant market,” said Avery.
“Montracon already makes the widest model range available from any European trailer manufacturer and I intend to use my experience to build on this and the company’s other strengths, to drive further growth and to consolidate Montracon’s position as market leader.”
