Biden calls for more infrastructure Investment

US Vice President Joe Biden has reportedly called for greater public investment in transportation infrastructure.

According to US website, Transport Topics, Biden recently commented on the topic after touring a logistics yard east of Memphis, Tennessee.

“If we do not improve our infrastructure … we will not take advantage of being able to lock down for the next 40 years that we remain the best place in the world to invest,” he said.

Biden’s visit was one of several made to highlight the seven-year anniversary of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, an economic stimulus bill signed by President Obama in February 2009 that also helped fun the intermodal facility in Memphis.
